Before you start: One image at a time, up to 25 MB. Animated images become a single frame. JPG replaces transparency with white. Metadata is not retained in the re-encoded image.
Image compressor & resizer FAQs
Can I make every image exactly 100 KB?
No. A target is a best effort, not a guarantee. JPG and WebP can try lower quality; PNG uses lossless encoding. If the result is still too large, reduce the dimensions or choose another format.
Does my image or data leave my device?
The image and data tools process your input in this browser tab. They do not upload its contents to a conversion service. Download or copy your result before leaving the page.
Is Filestation free to use?
The currently listed browser tools are free. You can download five results without an account, then sign in free to continue. No payment card is required.
Can I use a phone, tablet or desktop?
The tools run in a modern browser with JavaScript enabled. Results and performance depend on browser support, device memory and document complexity. If an in-app browser cannot save a result, open the site in your regular browser.
