USING FILESTATION

These terms explain the use of filestation.io, an independent PDF workspace made and operated by okay.sahib. By using the tools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
The Free plan includes 10 document download requests per signed-in account per day, resetting at midnight UTC. Pro and Team remove this download count limit. Cancelled save/share attempts release their allowance, and retries of the same result in the current tab count once. Browser download requests count when initiated because delivery cannot always be confirmed. Tools let you work with supported documents locally, including editing, organizing and converting files. Available functions, supported formats and practical limits are described in the tools. We may maintain, change or discontinue features; uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
2. Your files and permissions
You retain ownership of your documents. Choose only files you own or are authorized to process. You are responsible for permissions, confidentiality and any laws that apply to those files. Local processing does not grant us ownership of your documents.
Do not use the service for unlawful content, fraud, infringement, unauthorized access, malware distribution or attempts to disrupt the website or other users. Do not bypass technical limits or falsely represent a visual signature as a verified identity or signing certificate.
3. Results and important limitations
Review every output before relying on it. PDF to Word and Excel extract text and do not reproduce the original layout; scanned documents need OCR. PDF to PowerPoint produces slide images. Content-preserving compression rewrites PDF structure; image compression rasterizes pages and removes selectable text, forms and links. A requested size cannot be guaranteed. The editor adds content rather than rewriting original PDF text; interactive features and existing signatures may be flattened, omitted or invalidated.
Drawing a signature is not identity verification, a signing certificate or an audit trail. Cropping and covering text are not secure redaction. A watermark is not encryption. Check any recipient’s accessibility, legal, signature or format requirements independently.
Office and ebook imports create reading copies and may omit original layout, graphics or advanced formatting. English OCR can misread text. The dedicated Redact PDF tool rebuilds all pages as images after removing marked pixels; it does not detect sensitive information automatically. Review all pages before sharing. Source-based study tools select existing text. Optional browser AI and translation depend on compatible devices and can produce incorrect or incomplete output. Manual signature requests do not provide delivery, tracking, identity verification or an audit trail. Password protection requires you to keep the password; FileStation cannot recover it.
4. Downloads and backups
Save your result before leaving or refreshing the page. Work is not automatically saved to a cloud account. Choose Save to account to upload and store a file or editable draft. Save again after making further edits. Undo history is not retained across sessions. You can delete saved items from your dashboard. Cancelling Pro does not delete existing items; new saves are subject to your current plan allowance. Browser restrictions, insufficient device memory or unsupported files may prevent processing or saving. Keep the original document and verify that your downloaded result opens correctly.
5. Privacy and security
Our privacy policy describes local document processing and website-related technical information. HTTPS protects the connection to the site, but output PDFs are not automatically password-encrypted. We do not guarantee absolute security or compatibility with every device and browser.
6. Independent service and third parties
Filestation is independent of Adobe, Microsoft and Smallpdf. References to their products describe familiar file formats or workflows and do not imply affiliation or endorsement. Third-party software is used under its respective licences. External websites, including Instagram, have their own terms and policies.
7. Responsibility and statutory rights
The tools are provided without a promise that every conversion will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by unsupported files, incorrect use, failure to keep backups or reliance on an unchecked result.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes mandatory consumer or data protection rights. These terms do not require you to give up protections available under applicable law.
8. Public video tools and articles
Download only media you own or have permission to save, and respect the source platform’s applicable terms. Public visibility does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reuse a video. Private, login-required and protected media are unsupported. Availability depends on the platform, available formats and processor capacity. Do not use these tools to bypass access controls. Temporary downloads can expire.
Blog articles provide practical product guidance. Review the instructions and output against your own requirements. Only the authorized website owner can publish or update articles.
Subscriptions and trials
New subscriptions are billed in US dollars (USD). Existing subscriptions retain their agreed price and currency.
Pro costs US$5.35 per month. Team costs US$8.03 per seat per month with 2–19 seats, including the billing owner. Eligible new paid subscribers receive a three-day free trial with a payment method required. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the selected monthly amount is charged automatically and renews each month. Returning subscribers may not receive another trial. Stripe checkout displays your first charge date and total before you confirm.
Cancel online using Manage billing, or email info@filestation.io for help. Cancellation stops future renewals; the effective date appears in billing. To request a refund or exercise applicable cancellation rights, contact info@filestation.io. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights. Annual plans are unavailable for new purchases; existing subscriptions retain their agreed terms.
Free includes 3 saved files or drafts. Pro and active Team seats have no saved-item count limit; each item is limited to 25 MB. Unlimited downloads do not remove tool-specific file, page, language or device limits and do not enable unavailable processors. Team owners control seat membership and central billing, but each member retains private document storage. Removed members return to their own plan limits. Request seat-count changes by email. Business pricing and service commitments require a separate written agreement.
9. Changes and contact
