Edit PDF: how it works

Add custom handwritten text and numbers to scanned receipts with ten handwriting fonts and optional hand-drawn circles. Choose your own serial number or reference, ink colour, size and angle, then place it anywhere on a page. Add or replace text, highlight, sign, draw, insert images and stamps, add links and notes, and search your PDF. Move and resize added items or organize pages in the same workspace.

  1. 1

Open a PDF and select a page.

  2. 2

Choose Handwritten Numbers for receipt serial numbers, or use the toolbar for text, signatures, highlights, images and notes.

  3. 3

Open the export centre, choose pages and format, then click Download to save your PDF.

Before you start: Tap a page to place content. Edit text replaces selectable words visually and flattens the affected page on export. Scanned text needs OCR.

Handwritten Numbers for scanned receipts

Add missing receipt serial numbers without scanning again. Type a custom number or reference, keep leading zeros, and write custom text, names or notes with ten handwriting fonts. Add an optional handwritten circle and try different pen variations. Adjust ink, size and angle, then place each number anywhere on the page. Select a placed number to edit, move or resize it. Download a new PDF when finished.

Edit PDF FAQs

Is adding text the same as editing existing PDF text?

No. Placing a new text annotation is different from changing the original text object. Check the tool’s supported operation rather than assuming full word-processor editing.

How can I add text to a PDF document?

Open your PDF in the editor, choose Add text and place the text on the page. Adjust its position and appearance, then export and inspect the saved copy. Adding text does not reflow the original paragraph.

How do I add an image to a PDF?

Open the PDF editor and select the page. Open More tools, choose the image tool, insert your image and adjust its placement and size. Export a copy and inspect the result.

How do I add handwritten serial numbers to scanned receipts?

Open Edit PDF, upload your scanned PDF and choose Handwritten Numbers. Type custom text, names, short notes or numbers, including leading zeros, choose one of ten handwriting fonts, optionally add a handwritten circle, and set the ink colour, size and angle. Tap a receipt to place it, then drag or resize it. Repeat for other receipts and download the updated PDF. For receipt photos, first use Photo to PDF.

Can I change the original words in a PDF?

Choose Edit text and tap a selectable text block to replace it visually. The affected page becomes an image on export, with the new text on top; other original text on that page is no longer selectable. This does not reflow surrounding content or recognize scanned text.

Are my documents uploaded?

Local PDF tools process documents in your browser. Choosing a file alone does not upload it. Server conversion sends the chosen file only after you confirm. Account storage is optional: Save to account uploads that result or draft to your private library.

Are my PDFs encrypted?

The website uses HTTPS to encrypt the connection. Local processing does not automatically password-encrypt your input or downloaded PDF. No website can guarantee 100% security; use a trusted device and keep your original files.

How do I save a PDF on an iPhone?

After creating the result, use Save / Share and choose Save to Files. If a download opens a preview, use the browser’s Share control to save a copy.
