The report is ready, but its supporting documents are scattered across three PDFs. A colleague needs only one section. The version for the client still contains a duplicate page. These are small paperwork jobs, yet someone has to stop and deal with them before the work can move forward.
FileStation brings those everyday tasks into a browser workspace. You can merge documents, select pages visually, rearrange them and save a new PDF without installing a desktop PDF editor. For teams that only need to prepare an ordinary document pack, that can be a useful place to start.
Match the tool to the job
- Combine several files into one attachment with Merge PDF.
- Divide a long document into separate files with Split PDF.
- Copy a few useful pages into one new file with Extract PDF pages.
- Remove unnecessary whole pages with Delete PDF pages.
- Rearrange and rotate pages in Organize PDF.
Choose based on what the recipient needs. A colleague asking for one combined report probably does not want a ZIP of individual pages. Someone requesting one appendix probably does not need the full project folder.
A practical example: prepare a project handover
Imagine that your team has a project summary, a schedule and a set of supporting notes, each saved as a PDF. Open the summary in Merge PDF, then use Add PDFs / Merge to include the other files. Review the thumbnails and drag pages into the order the next person should read them.
Check for repeated cover sheets and sideways scans. Select an unwanted page and delete it from the working copy. If you remove the wrong page, use Undo while the editor is still open. Your source files on the device remain unchanged.
Open Export PDF, choose PDF document and prepare the download. Save it with a clear name such as project-handover-2026-09-17.pdf. Reopen the saved copy before sending it, checking the beginning, the end and the boundaries between documents.
Keep the process easy for the next person
Agree on one filename pattern and one place for finished documents in your existing company storage. Keep originals separate from sharing copies. FileStation prepares the PDF; your approved shared drive or document system remains the place to store and manage it.
You can also send a colleague the invoice-pack guide or the guide to splitting documents for different recipients. A short, repeatable process is easier to hand over than a collection of unexplained attachments.
Is FileStation free for these office tasks?
The current PDF tools are free of charge. There are five guest downloads per browser; further downloads require sign-in when available. This is not a daily allowance. Check the current plans and account availability before relying on a larger batch of exports.
Can employees use it for any company document?
Use tools allowed by your organization. FileStation's PDF processing happens on your device, but that does not replace company rules for confidential files, retention or approved software. Keep signed originals: editing may change or omit interactive features and existing digital signatures. Save the finished file before closing the tab because the editing session is not an automatic backup.
Start with Organize PDF and try the example document if you want to learn the controls before using your own paperwork.
