A PDF workflow for freelancers and small teams
Prepare a tidy client handover, check the contents and share only the intended version.

Separate each client and project
Keep source files in a client folder in your own storage. Use a project code and date in exported filenames. Work on copies so you can return to the original contract, brief or invoice if needed.
Build the handover
Use Merge PDF to bring a cover note and supporting documents together. Review every thumbnail, remove duplicates and place the summary first. Check whether you need to retain original digital signatures: editing or combining a signed file may invalidate them.
Check before sharing
Open the downloaded PDF and inspect every page. Confirm the recipient, document version, readability and size. Cropping or placing a white box over information is not a reliable way to redact confidential content.
Choose an appropriate delivery method
Download and attach the finished file through your usual delivery service, or use FileStation’s expiring PDF links for a saved PDF. Link creation requires sign-in and upload confirmation if the PDF is not already saved. Choose an expiry and optional password. Revocation stops new downloads but cannot recall copies already downloaded.
